Ahhhh. How simple, and yet profound :')
When I heard about this earlier last month I thought it was a great idea, so not to burst your bubble, but this is outdated. If you go to snopes.com and other such pages that update on these email type things that spread like wild fire you'll see that on Nov 13 of this year his parents are asking that people stop sending cards and they celebrated Christmas on November 8th.
